Bridge to the Doctorate Program

Philadelphia Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) is in search of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) students to pursue graduate degrees.

Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Bridge to the Doctorate (BTD) program promotes the participation of underrepresented minority students in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The BTD program provides financial, academic and professional support while ensuring scholars build the connections and skills needed to excel in a chosen STEM career.

Selected students will be provided with fellowships for 2 years**

Eligible applicants

All interested candidates must:

  • Have participated in an LSAMP Program as an undergraduate
  • Have obtained a degree in a STEM discipline from an LSAMP institution
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Have not yet begun graduate studies
  • Pursue a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline at DSU and continue into PhD studies
  • Simultaneously apply to
